The Corning-Painted Post Area School District (CPPASD) is a student-centered learning community, characterized by a strong working partnership of students, faculty and staff, administration, and community members who are dedicated to the development and learning of all. Approximately 5,600 students in grades Pre-K through 12 attend CPPASD schools, including eight elementary, two middle, and two high schools, as well as an Early Childhood Education Center in eastern Steuben County, New York.
The district manages 295 work orders per month for 16 buildings and 13 schools, totaling 1 million square feet of coverage and over 1,100 assets.
In the safest manner possible for the well-being of their students and faculty, CPPASD needed to track and pre-schedule work orders in a very cost effective manner. They were using a proprietary software program to manage their facilities that was proving to not be cost effective with their growing and changing operational needs. The district sought out a better solution to provide increased productivity and accountability with the functionality to capture costs and provide detailed reports.
Since the implementation of Q Ware, CPPASD has experienced a positive impact on accountability, prioritizing and monitoring work orders, reporting costs requirements to receive funding, and vandalism reports. It has facilitated an overall improvement with tracking, preventative maintenance, and reporting. Because their previous proprietary program was not user-friendly and did not allow changes to their work processes, the district saw a return on their investment within minutes of use.
